It is a blessing that we have the final version of our Parish Vision. Now, in order to achieve the Vision, we will formulate the Mission Statement(s). All the pastoral Catholic communities of Terawi, Duvanson, Talang Taun and Tombovo are required to meet and to formulate their Mission Statement(s). The drafted mission statements from each church will be studied and will be refined by the drafting committee. Please send your final mission statements to Holy Nativity Parish Office before the 20/04/2011. May the Lord continue to reward your great work.

FR JOSEPH DAPOZ

Fr. Joseph Dapoz

Sabah’s beloved kadazan speaking 'orang putih' priest, Fr. Joseph Dapoz, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday 22nd February 2011 at the Holy Family Residence in Purak.

His body will be taken to St. Michael Church Penampang on Wednesday 23rd February 2011 at 3.00pm. Fr. Dapoz’s body will lie in state at the church until the evening of Friday 25th February 2011, where he will then be taken to Sacred Heart Cathedral Kota Kinabalu. Requeim mass is at 8.30am on Saturday 26th February 2011.

All parishioners are welcome to hold vigil and offer prayers at St. Michael Church.

Group from Holy Nativity Parish Terawi is scheduled to lead in prayers on Thursday 24th February 2011, at 3.00pm to 4.30pm at St. Michael. All are welcome.

SHARING WISDOM "THE GIFT OF AGE"

Each of us has been blessed with abundant grace in our lives. Knowing this blessedness is a gift that often comes wrapped in change. Day by day, we face inevitable changes and our spirit goes where we allow it through the personal choices we make. It is when we stop to reflect on our sacred stories that we can recognize the Gift of Wisdom in our life experiences.

Wisdom holds a special dignity and depth. It is not a spontaneous gift. It is acquired through grace from the Holy Spirit, reflection and sharing.

Let us dare to explore our sacred unfinished journey as we journey where hearts, mind, soul and body, through the power of the Holy Spirit, unite us together.

During this blessed Christmas season, may each of you know the joy of sharing with loved nes the Wisdom of he Gift of Age.
